For the first time she can smell the unabashed scent of his skin over the pungent scent of his fishy sweater and she finds that she likes it. There is something earthy about the aroma and it isn't just the thick smell of copper and salt.]
[He probably won't take her up on it... he's sure he'd be too nervous about bothering her, or hurting her. But right now he's going to hold on as long as she'll let him.
And he'll try not to focus too much on how nice she smells, or how soft her hair is. He doesn't feel worthy of thoughts like that.]
